Questions patients ask
Which hospitals will treat me?
Hospitals including Manipal Hospitals, Ruby Hall Clinic, Jehangir Hospital, Ramaiah Hospital, Kauvery Hospital, Aster Medicity, Fortis Hospitals and Apollo Hospitals. We send your reports to specialists in the right field at our partner hospitals. You receive their opinion and a cost estimate before you decide anything, and the choice of hospital is yours.
How do I get a medical visa for India?
India issues medical visas to patients travelling for treatment, and citizens of many countries can apply online for an e-Medical visa. Once a partner hospital accepts your case, we arrange the hospital's invitation letter for your application and help you prepare the other documents. Visa rules differ by country and change often, so we check the current rules for your country with you before you apply.
Can a family member come with me?
Yes. Up to 2 family members can travel with you on a medical attendant visa linked to yours. We help arrange accommodation near the hospital for you and the people travelling with you.
What happens after I return home?
We stay in touch. Follow-up is provided through tele-consultations with your treating specialist, and medicines can be delivered to your country when needed. With your consent, we send your discharge summary and reports to your doctor at home so they can continue your care.
Do you have interpreters for French, Portuguese, Russian, Bengali and other languages?
Yes. Our team speaks Bengali, English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Swahili, Russian, Uzbek, Tajik, Pashto, Dari, Arabic and Kurdish.
